Jabu Morales, started her music career at 12 year old in Belo Horizonte, Mina Gerais, Brazil. During several years she travel around Brazil learning the different rhythms and music.
Learning folklore, traditions and music from the popular teachers, she started then her research about music in Brazil.
In 2008 she move to Canada and presented her work next to her sister. By the end of the year she moved to Barcelona where she actually lives and leads the "Grupo Maracatu Mandacaru"
She release her first CD in 2010 "Jabu" where she play a great variety of music, afrobeat, samba, salsa, forrô, and more. A very great work that shows the richness of the Brazilian music.
